Vantaggi

-Flexible scheduling and the ability to make your own schedule -Remote work (number one con!) -Supportive team members and coworkers -They've got the hours if you need them -Receptive to therapist feedback -A great goal and mission -Every school I've worked with so far for several years has loved teletherapy and are very satisfied with my services and the ease of DotCom. It's definitely perfect for remote places and a chance to meet and even experience new cultures! -Good therapy resources and collaboration of materials

Svantaggi

-Low pay and not good benefits. Not recommended for therapists who can't rely on spouse for primary income -Mostly all schools and not much opportunity for summer work if need be -Too much technology, too many platforms, and they're only adding every year. Rules about what we are supposed to keep up with are constantly changing and it's honestly hard to keep up! -At one point, we used to have virtual coffee meetings and workout sessions and social gatherings, but no longer. Maybe just too many people and internal staff too busy? -And furthering this, therapists are no longer allowed to take days off. If you are sick, it may be impossible to find coverage or if it is somehow impossible, way too complicated to try and coordinate your entire schedules with someone unfamiliar. Trying to take even one day off last year (the first one in my entire several years with DotCom) was a nightmare but instead of working on making it more seamless to find coverage, they came up with a new rule that we are no longer able to take days, off in a nutshell. -The company, when I began, was wholesome and like a family. They were very receptive to therapist needs and made us feel like our time was valued. One major reason I shifted from nursing homes to DCT was to escape the expectation that I had to work for free to meet productivity standards. I could actually take time to put real energy into my sessions but now, things have become much more strict and there are now a lot of strict rules for time allowed for things. -The company often bites off a bit more than it can chew and they will continue to sign more contracts and take on more business and grow with the expectation that current full time staff will take on limitless clients. Some days I feel like a robot just trying to cram in more and more kids while losing quality of sessions because of this. Then, I'm given less and less time to work on outside notes for the students on top of this because of the new productivity standards with time ratios. -Not enough training, if any, given to school staff. Basic briefing on what teletherapy even is to new school staff does not exist and the confusion then falls upon the therapists to handle. -With the growth of the company, unfortunately, it's becoming more and more like every other company and becoming far less personal, supportive and collaborative. Seems that the value of new contracts and money is beginning to replace the value of the quality of services and therapist needs.

Thank you for your feedback. We continually strive to make DotCom Therapy the best place for therapists to work, so I am sorry to hear about your concerns and take this to heart. We are so glad you recognize the pros of the support network at DotCom Therapy and the response to feedback. We strive to do what we can to take all feedback seriously to make this company an incredible place to work. Per your feedback, we do pride ourselves in being one of the only teletherapy companies to provide benefits and we do have competitive salaries for our employees. We also do provide a comparable leave policy to many schools and work hard to allow for other priorities to take precedent as needed. As we grow, we are working hard to make DotCom Therapy work for all employees and value each and every person working towards our mission. I encourage you to reach out to your clinical manager, our director of HR or me personally so that you can help us move in the right direction as a valued employee! All my best, Rachel Robinson
