local work , freedom to make own decisions on some sites this can be good but also a bad thing

pay cannot contract anyone after 17:00 Monday - Friday or at all on week ends unorganized . no room for advancement allot of yes we will look into that but nothing ever seems to get done

Nothing good to report about

Arrogant owner/CEO, managers that do nothing or know anything but pretend they know the world. I work at ICM until 2010, I left after the Vancouver Olympics due to securing better employment that suited my career goals at the time. One thing that stands out significantly to me is when I had a terrible flu, we were supposed to go down to Kelowna to work the Tool concert but it was cancelled due to the highway being too icy and the snow. I was told to come down to the office anyways to clean out an old secret service ambulance in the middle of the winter, while sick and because I was using paint thinner to remove scuffs I had to keep the doors wide open. I ended up getting sicker but was still forced to stay and then work the next three days in a row. I was really lucky I didn’t end up in the hospital. Another instance was for years we weren’t “entitled” to overtime when working long events(sometimes 18 hours in a row) until someone filed a complaint with employment standards and brent was then forced to pay out.
