The client range is very diverse so you get to work on projects related to many technology fields which keeps the work interesting. One day you might have a project related to the pharmaceutical industry and then you might get one related to semiconductors, online storage, fiber optics, you name it! If you work with the right people (see con re: politics), you can create a good professional network because you can be in contact with many high level executives working in prominent corporations.

The environment is very negative. The company is managed by fear instead of positive reinforcement or motivation. The staff turnover rate is very high. People are hired every week, people also leave every week. Everything is about company politics, there is a misuse of power for the pursuit of personal agendas without considering the effect it may have on the organization or on people's lives. Due to the above mentioned you find people carrying out a job that they can't successfully fulfill and therefore it's hard to work with a leader that has no experience or knowledge of the business. There is no consideration for people's efforts, time or life in general. It's sad to see people being fired because they were sick for a week.

Did you read the "pro" above and go "that's just what I've been looking for"? Well keep reading. The culture is competitive but not the "let's make each other better competitive", more like the Tonya Harding kind of competitive. I've witnessed an executive target and verbally abuse employees, so it's no surprise for a 60 person company to see 1-2 people leave a month. Combine that with the 2-3 people a month fired and you can imagine the turnover. If you're reading this thinking, "I'm different, I'm an achiever, I triumph over everything life throws at me" for the sake of everyone that loves you I'm begging you to consider triumphing over everything somewhere else. While the culture can make even the most competent people question themselves, the biggest toll is taken on spouses, family and friends. I met more than a couple of people who've had someone that loves them beg them to quit...even without another job. If you truly are great. You can be great somewhere else.
