The recent restructuring at the company resulted in the unexpected layoff of a significant percentage of the workforce. This has not only impacted morale but has also strained our ability to effectively execute projects slated for completion before year-end. The abrupt departure of seasoned employees, many of whom held crucial knowledge and experience, has left noticeable gaps in our workflow, particularly with upcoming major projects and annual processes. Constant shift in culture and ovelap of prioroties. No review of risks, just expectation to get the job done. Management decisions, including promotions and changes in policies, lack transparency and meritocracy. Opportunities for genuine professional growth seem limited due to no documented promotion plan or growth programs. The evolving bonus structure each year creates an unpredictable and unfair reward system. Feedback and performance reviews seem capped, which may not truly reflect the hard work and dedication of many team members. Additionally, seeking support from HR can be more challenging than anticipated, making it difficult for concerns to be properly addressed.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback about ISACA. While the reduction in force was not an easy decision, we know it was the right move for us with respect to being able to reinvest in our future success. We will keep sharing information about this transparently internally, as we have been through town halls, our intranet, and team meetings, to further our employees’ understanding of our strategy, and what this means for prioritization and workloads. We are also very committed to supporting our departed colleagues’ job searches and future success – many people, right up to our CEO, have been actively networking and making connections where possible, in addition to the career support program we offered to impacted employees. Regarding promotions: We updated our policies over a year ago, held information sessions about them, and published them for staff. I'm sorry you did not see this information on our intranet. We'll try to find more ways to ensure employees are fully aware of all the resources at their disposal. Again, thank you for your feedback. The best part about working at ISACA? The people. From the members and employees around the world, to the volunteers - everyone is very passionate about the work they do, the community they serve, and each other. I've never seen a more tight-knit group in my career. ISACA offers competitive benefits to employees including an annual professional development stipend which aligns with the organization's mission of empowering individuals through learning. Aside from that, if employees are open to it, there are many opportunities for stretch assignments, I've always told my peers that if I had been at another company, it would have taken me 5 years to learn all the skills I've learned at ISACA within my first year. I've also been very fortunate to have reported to the best managers who have been good communicators, and great at giving and receiving feedback. Overall, I've had a great experience at ISACA and it has always been a place that I would consider a great place to work.

ISACA operates more like a startup vs a traditional non-profit, IMO. This means that for someone to thrive here, you have to be comfortable with change and be nimble. I also think that ISACA grew too fast in the last few years and have been experiencing growing pains, with another layer of complexity with the employee population expanding globally. I can see that leadership is trying to manage this by improving communication and transparency through town halls, in-person events, newsletters, and other platforms but this remains a huge opportunity.
