Work-life balance is more of an idea than a real thing. Employees are expected to be available almost all the time, which is great if you enjoy being always “on call” without extra pay. Weekend work can be requested by customers, and it is usually seen as a normal part of the job. Customers are always right, even when they clearly are not, which makes things “interesting” for employees. Travel opportunities are often promised and sound exciting, but they rarely happen in reality. HR could also improve, especially when it comes to understanding Egyptian labor law.
