Claustrophobic public administration mentality. Most bosses lack vision and frustrate ideas and initiative from lower ranks. Careers are dominated by politics, merits and ideas are worthless, protection form above and membership to the club of comrades are the only key to success. It’s no surprise that completely unfit people land in top ranks or receive disproportionate fringe benefits, while many qualified worker are shifted to lesser position or idle their time because bosses have to make place to their buddies. Performance evaluation system is proforma.

Working here grants good benefits, a competitive salary and a very stable job. Practically, almost nobody gets fired, never ever. Good work/life balance.

Very hierarchical and structured management, ideas don't flow, internal entrepreneurship finds strong barriers as both middle and top management is very conservative about everything. Career paths are non-existent, continuous re-organisations put people with the wrong skills in the wrong places, only to be moved again six months later due to the manifest lack of it. Too many unskilled middle managers block growth for younger people.
