Vantaggi
Had a very supportive instructor and made friends from classmates. Decent insight into what tech skills are needed on the market.
Svantaggi
1. The most obvious con is that Integrify cannot guarantee a job for you by attending their course. After signing a contract - you are obligated to study with them for handful months. If their client is interested in you, you will have work. If not, then those months went to waste.
That is something made clear before signing the contract, although some hiring managers hype you into believing that you definitely will.
2. Working contracts are not good. You are essentially working at similar wage as a full time warehouse worker, except without employee health package. You are not privy to any benefits that the client you work for, provides for their own direct employees.
If you have a decent working contract, and are residing in Finland on a working visa - this is something you should strongly consider before joining Integrify. Quite a few of my colleagues who were hired, were fired after some time.
It is my understanding is that Integrify charges their clients a premium for hiring one of their trained software developers, and that becomes too much for some companies, especially in these economic times.
But all of this is something you can gather on your own, by reading their contract, talking to peers and making an educated decision on the risk or benefit of joining Integrify.
The last con, is something not so obvious.
3. Integrify is quite dishonest. They have a snippet on their website, where one of their client describes how satisfied they are with the employees Integrify provided, although most of that hiring batch was fired when that blog went up. I am pretty sure that story is completely made up.
Also, I remember once I was in the interviewing process with one of their clients, which ultimately turned me down. Someone from Integrify told a prospective student who I know, that I got that job. Of course I told that prospective student, that it wasn't true. This isn't the only thing, and I know of other examples from peers.
For the dishonesty a lone, I would say to completely stay away from this company. You deserve an employer who is transparent and supportive with you, and not riding on the hard work of hard working software developers, who spend their free time trying to have a glimpse of opportunity in finding work.
I would also not be surprised if monthly benefits employees normally get in a company, is actually deducted and redirected towards Integrify's pockets - including health care costs.
