Think twice before joining or hiring Interdependence. Leadership is alarmingly disconnected from day-to-day reality. The chairman has little visibility into what's actually happening inside his own company. The president talks about radical candor but operates through gossip, back-channeling, and a smile that masks a willingness to lie directly to your face. The sales team overpromises to win business, then hands account teams an impossible situation: clients with inflated expectations and no roadmap to deliver on them. The gap between what's sold and what's actually deliverable is wide and chronic. Raise a concern. Flag a problem. Advocate for a client. See what happens. Retaliation is real, swift, and normalized here. The "Interviewed" AI technology they use as a differentiator is little more than a basic news-monitoring tool dressed up in marketing language. Proposals and PR plans are templated, thin, and interchangeable, with no real strategic thinking behind them. Every day inside this agency runs on chaos, blame-shifting, and fear. Nobody knows what will happen next. All of the negative reviews are true. The positive reviews are planted by leadership. This place is a toxic cesspool full of ignorance. Do your due diligence before signing a contract or accepting an offer. What they sell and what they deliver are two very different things.

One of the biggest strengths of the company is the level of ownership employees are given. You’re trusted to lead, think strategically, and contribute beyond your role, which makes the work both challenging and rewarding. There’s a clear emphasis on collaboration, accountability, and delivering real results for clients. The agency is evolving quickly, which creates a lot of opportunity to shape processes, build new systems, and have a direct impact on how the company operates. If you enjoy being part of building something and not just maintaining the status quo, this is a great place to be. The team is supportive, smart, and driven. There’s a strong sense of momentum across the organization, and it’s exciting to be part of a company that’s continuing to grow and refine its approach.

The role is remote and there have not been layoffs. If you stay, the PTO accrual can be decent.

Trust the negative reviews, they are all true and the reality of working at Interdependence. The recent positive reviews are from senior leaders trying save face and balance out the negative ones. There are so many issues at this company I could write a novel, but the number one issue is the lack of support across accounts. I joined Interdependence because I was sold on the team structure, but that “team” has mostly been me. The success or downfall of the account falls on one person because anyone above does not actively contribute to the account. You are constantly overwhelmed and expected to always perform. If you ask for help, you will be ignored or scrutinized. Clients are unhappy majority of the time and have unrealistic expectations because the sales team promises them the world. There is no understanding from leadership on how difficult it is to get media interest and somehow manage everything across 8-10 accounts. Junior members are doing 99% of the work. I have no idea what leadership is putting in their timesheets at this point because they are never accessible or helpful. Horrible leadership is driving this place to the ground. Employees are viewed as machines, especially with the pushed use of AI. Run as far as you can from Interdependence.
