Svantaggi
Asked me on my first day as a travel rehab therapist contactor to sign other therapy documents from a former employee. Extremely unethical and fraudulent thing to do considering that means I'm signing off with my license at stake. The DOR at the building played loud rock music from his computer while working In the therapy room and ignored his staff. I had to repeatedly ask him a simple question. He was supposed to schedule me on the weekend, but forgot, and refused to allow anyone to reach out and call him to clarify the patients needing to be seen. This was a retaliation against me for getting a case of the flu and needing 2 days off during the week which I gladly agreed to make up on the weekend. I was never compensated for coming into work on the weekend despite I was paying over 100 a night in travel motel costs out of my own pocket. I gave notice from the unethical "trainer" who had wanted me to sign off on strange documents. She asked a prn slp to do it and the prn refused as well....the kicker was that Interface management witheld my paycheck for more than a week after I quit, despite the fact i was supposed to be paid weekly as a traveler. More money out of my own pocket to stay at expensive South Bay LA lodging . Interface wouldn't sign the timecard for the hours I had already worked. Another member of this fraudulent company actually called to threaten me if I didn't return to the job. California is an at will state and I am married to a lawyer, so I do know my rights. I was told to contact the Dept of Labor in California. I wrote with the help of my lawyer, a statement to the company and only then did I receive my earned pay. ....a thoroughly unprofessional and ugly experience.
