Svantaggi
Leadership that has not a clue what positive change management looks like. Problematic promotions and perceived favoritism. Salary inequities among staff at similar or equal levels. I must also add that I find some of the recent glowing reviews highly suspicious -- as if they were written by the current leadership. Ipas went through a brutal restructure. Friends and colleagues in corporate America have shared that it was more cut-throat than anything they've ever seen, a stark contrast to the legacy and culture of Ipas. Staff morale is abysmally low right now, and that's due in large part to the fact that there was no rhyme or reason (or explanation given) to some of the cuts. Longtime staff (many of whom were pioneers in the field) were given a choice to leave and most took the compensation deal and left with their heads held high. The involuntary cuts thereafter were done in the worst way possible with staff (some of whom were there for decades) being walked out the door by security and asked to collect their things the following weekend. There were and are problematic staff as well as inefficiencies, as in every organization, but I cannot imagine a worse way of handling the need for more streamlined leadership structures and processes than what happened recently at Ipas.
