Heavy emphasis on safety is nice to see in a large company in multiple industries.

If work gets slow, there's a chance you lose your job. As a consultant, you will occasionally need to travel to the project location. Pro if single, con if married/parent. Health insurance is pretty expensive. Once a project ends, you can be stuck in limbo waiting for the next big project.
