During the summer, employees are allowed summer hours, where you can work 9 hour days and have every other Friday off. Centocor is under the umbrella of the J&J companies so you have J&J benefits which are great. There is a pension plan which is rare today. THere is a site where you have access to J&J products for SUPER cheap. Listerine, Visine, Neutrogena, Rembrant, Aveeno, are some of the big names for pennies on the dollar!

Since the beginning of the year, during the first quarter at least one person per week has left to go to Merck. It is tough having so many competitors in the area like Merck and GSK that are great pharmaceutical companies as well. Centocor is notoriously a low payer compared to these other companies. Morale continues to be low and management has not really addressed the concerns of its employees. Management instead responds with a huge reorg leaving people further question their future with the company (either forced or voluntary.) Also, the position that I am at, I will gain no level of responsibility for the next 2 promotions.
