I'm a student, so the rate of pay is brilliant. My friends have all since applied to JL after seeing what I earn working 15 hours a week- in comparison to what they earn working 20+. The shift patterns are flexible and set in stone. I HATE rotas, so the job is ideal. Training and development opportunities are plentiful and well catered for. And, in quiet days, time off is always welcomed. Fantastic discount and benefits. One of a kind.

The whole 'partner' thing is bull. Lol. Makes no difference to hierarchy. John Lewis customers are, for the most part, frustrating. Everyone expects things for free because the delivery man didn't say "please" or "thank you". John Lewis good will is a ridiculous culture. A lot of managers are very patronising and lack knowledge. I can share tens of experiences in which I've had to challenge false information given to me by top level staff.
