It's employment. It's money in your back pocket. 'Bums on seats sell cars'. They will accept any Tom, D1ck and Harry off the street. If your 'face fits' you will succeed and 'frog leap' other colleagues/employees/people that have been/worked there longer. Nothing to do with 'aptitude'.

The employees across the business are all lovely people. My line manager was caring and was supportive were he could be.

A business that left me feeling incredibly ineffective. Every decision is micro managed through HR director. There is no culture, trust, values or investment into their people. The training and coaching is poor and inconsistent. Everything is reactive with no pro active planning. It felt clicky from a senior leadership team and it has an us VS them vibe. Pay is poor and targets are given late and also adjusted month by month. Under-performance is widely accepted across the business and HR are reluctant to deal with the root cause of the issues. They would rather move a problem to another site than challenge poor behaviour.
