Vantaggi

I enjoyed the work when I got to do it.

Svantaggi

Majority of jobs not organised correctly, parts missing or not ordered at all, clients unaware of engineer arrival, the sales team were unable to correctly spec a job, and as an engineer if you called for parts/further action to be taken nothing seemed to happen. And then when clients complained, the management would blame the engineers. Pay rises have been promised for over a year without appearing, instead the goalposts are moved at any opportunity. This has resulted in the more experienced staff leaving, and the remaining staff do not have the same knowledge.

Vantaggi

The only reason I stayed as long as I did was the people at operational level. The Service department had genuine teamwork and mutual support. Colleagues carried each other through an environment that often felt unnecessarily heavy. You build resilience quickly, whether you want to or not.

Svantaggi

In my experience, the culture is driven by control, ego and fear rather than leadership or development. Micromanagement is extreme. Every detail is monitored. Emails are scrutinized. Decisions are questioned publicly. Feedback is often delivered in front of others in a way that feels humiliating rather than constructive. Instead of being coached, you are made to feel inadequate. As a non-European and one of very few women in a male-dominated structure with no female representation in senior leadership, I frequently felt isolated and undervalued. Diversity and inclusion did not feel reflected at decision-making level. Performance reviews, bonuses and salary adjustments lacked transparency. I consistently received lower bonuses than peers in the same role without clear reasoning. Salary increases were postponed for two consecutive years with shifting explanations. Agreements that were discussed and documented were later reduced or reconsidered. Training and development were discussed but not followed through. A course was offered and accepted, then quietly abandoned. Growth does not appear to be a priority. Communication is inconsistent and exclusionary. I was often left out of meetings directly related to my responsibilities. Critical updates would reach me indirectly through colleagues. Reporting structures felt unstable, with authority being informally redistributed in ways that undermined accountability. There is a strong undercurrent of intimidation. Raising concerns feels unsafe. Complaints do not appear to lead to meaningful change. When employees express frustration or consider leaving, the response implies that everyone is replaceable. The outcome is predictable: high turnover, loss of experienced professionals, and a revolving door of new hires expected to perform without proper structure or support. Even at the end of employment, basic entitlements became a dispute requiring external escalation. This company has potential, but until leadership moves away from fear-based control and toward transparency, accountability and respect, the cycle will continue.
