Obviously obtaining a position acting with this company is rare.

Small office- interns sit next to the producers and overhear everything that is going on. Killer Films is constantly working on interesting and meaningful projects and there is tremendous opportunity to learn from some of NY's most successful indie producers. Interns read incoming screenplays and write coverage on them, which is great practice for aspiring writers. The Creative Development team works directly with the interns and may sometimes ask for input regarding casting and crew choices. Interns answer/ transfer all incoming phone calls in between their other duties which can get hectic at times but it is crucial for newcomers to the industry to learn how to handle high-pressure situations early on. Overall, interns are valued and become exposed to numerous facets of production, especially creative development which outweighs answering phone calls and going on runs.

Little to no potential for direct future employment. The office has 4 people: the two producers, their assistant and the head of creative development, and then a larger group of interns. Going in, I was aware of this and don't regret the experience at all but it is important for people to know that this will be a learning and networking experience primarily. Also, don't expect to interact with the producers often.
