The pay for this position can be good if you are lucky, but it is derived off just that, luck. They tell you where to go and assume you can make constant sales even though you will be pitching to the same market over and over and over again. Eventually it dies down at no fault of your own but you could still be treated like a failure for slow days.

First things first is morality. When I worked there our job was to put it bluntly scamming people. We would sign them up for a slightly lower electricity rate, hoping they forget about it in 3 months time, then raising the prices astronomically to steal their money. You would hear people talk about being on assisted living or how rough times are and how any increase would ruin them, but you were taught to swallow your pride and scam them anyways. Some conversations with other employees have them justify it by saying "if they forget to cancel before prices get raised thats on them" basically blaming their lack of knowledge on them getting scammed. Along with that there is the obvious pyramid scheme, trying to get you to recruit people under you and grow out your "own business" under their main company which is only done to insulate them incase you get sued for their shady practices they will have you do. This isnt your typical Facebook marketing style pyramid scheme though, but is similar to one shown off in the youtube documentary "slave circle". I recommend giving it a watch if you consider going here. They will want you to work nearly every day and shame you when you dont. They will have you spend nearly 12 hours every day working and commuting for them. But worst of all they use cult style manipulation tactics to try and ruin relationships in your life and make you dependent on ones formed inside the business.
