The media team at Klick has devolved into a stagnant hierarchy where seniority is weaponized to protect the "old guard" at the expense of actual talent. There is a transparent layer of dead weight in senior positions—specifically a certain leader who contributes nothing to modern strategy but acts as a hard ceiling for the high-performing juniors actually doing the work. This gatekeeping is fueled by a culture of systemic dishonesty; this individual frequently lies to their direct reports about the promotion process and purposefully misdirects staff regarding who truly holds the "final call," effectively gaslighting employees to avoid accountability. ​It is insulting to see an influx of transparently manufactured, copy-pasted reviews specifically praising this EVP and media leader appear just as official HR reports and internal grievances regarding their behavior are coming to light. The fact that this person continues to lead major, high-profile projects despite multiple formal reports is a slap in the face to every employee who has tried to effect change through the proper channels. Whether these reviews are an attempt by the company, the person in question, or leadership to "PR" their way out of a crisis, the result is the same: it has tanked morale. You cannot "astroturf" a toxic culture back to health while your best people are being lied to and held back.

Hands down the best agency I've worked at, and I've been at all the big ones. Klick is independent which is amazing. While IPG, Omnicom, WPP, and Publicis are all getting messy, Klick has not have mass layoffs in recent history. Creative is definitely valued, and there are a lot of pitches to raise your hand on. The design department is amazing and there. are always talented resources available.

Most creative projects stay within "The Workshop" and aren't accessible for other creatives to work on. High level CDs often prioritize their own concepts and ideas over lifting up and mentoring other creatives. Overall all departments feel pretty top-heavy, but to be fair this is a problem across all of pharma. Some accounts feel more like we are a vendor rather than an AOR. Interviewing process can be hit or miss, sometimes super quick to hire, other times it's super dragged out across many months.

I was on a 3 month contract and did not make it past the 6th week- a first in my 15 year career. Their onboarding was absolutely atrocious. My boss was resistant to walkthroughs and also did not provide necessary information- or even piecemeal information. Some senior team members never had time for walkthroughs and when they did, it was not explained well. One team member was helpful. But no one walked me through their process for projects from start to finish- its very very different from most corporate jobs. No one properly explained their style of documentation in relation to the technology- who to go to for pieces of information, etc. I requested tutorial videos repeatedly and didn't receive them. They basically expect you to ask all the right questions without actually knowing how they work. I honestly did not know why they hired me because they did not give me what I needed to success and add value to the team. No one can ask all the right questions without the proper information. It's up to the company to onboard resources properly! This was an absolutely horrible experience.
