Almost all of the good employees have already left so the folks that are leftover have to pickup the slack. There is never any room in the budget for anything unless of course an Executive wants something or they need their newly company leased vehicle upgraded. Image is everything in this company especially if you are in the CIOs leadership chain. As long as others think you are doing well and you provide a positive vibe that makes the CIO look good you will be ok. As soon as you upset this person or have a time where you cause the impression of this persons department to look bad then you will be bullied and pushed out the door in no time. Don't expect any thank you' s and you better look busy even when you are heading to the bathroom. This company continues to hire all these high end folks that don't contribute to anything but add huge amounts to the payroll then they wonder why they get outbid for most jobs.
