Vantaggi
This review will be somewhat dated, so take what you will. I worked at Latcha+Associates for about 3 years as an Artist. Mediocre: If I had to summarize my experience, only one word would be needed, 'mediocre.' I honestly can't name one thing exceptional about my experience. Good coffee selection. Occasional bagels or doughnuts. Company lunches every few months. Mediocre pay, average benefits. Not stuffy or corporate. Generally friendly people.. It's difficult to describe these as 'pros' because most of this has been true of every company I've ever worked at.
Svantaggi
Little Advancement: The company is medium sized, and the photography, graphic design, and 3D departments were about 5-10 people at any given time. The company made little-to-no investment in advancement, and during my employment raises were frozen for several years. There was also no investment in education or advancement of the employees. There were no senior employees to act as mentors, and the department didn't change much either during my employment. Office Politics: Office politics with two separate coworkers killed my personal experience. While it's possible I share some of the blame, it's hard to say since I've never had this problem elsewhere. Put simply, beware of egos and jealousy. Not 'Best Employer:' This company loves to show off all of their best employer rewards. However they earn these rewards, I don't know, because there's honestly nothing remarkable about working there. Having worked several places before and since, I must say this employer is just extremely average. Some of the other places I've worked send their employees to tech conferences, have educational-material reimbursement, elaborate Christmas parties, annual bonuses, have far more advancement opportunities, and more. Cons are easier to write than pros, so let me reiterate that my experience was mediocre (not bad).
