7yThank you for your response.
I'm sorry that you feel like you were misrepresented in the interview, but we are very clear and have a 3 step interview process. I actually know who this is but i am not able to put your name on here.
1. When you are hired we go through the new hire paper work and you go through 5 full days of training. On day one you get to see exactly what we do first hand before you even get to do any of the sales yourself. So if this was not a good fit, and were misrepresented you would have quit after the first day. But you were here 1 week and 2 days.
2. We do go business to business so yes you are correct and yes some of the businesses are located in strip centers, why would we not go to an insurance company or tax office if it was a business. That would be a prejudgment if a business would be able to benefit from our services.
3. Our client is staples and we offer office supplies that they already buy for 30% of a lower price. The only way would feel like you are being pushy is if you come off salesy trying to make the sale instead of trying to help the customer save money and solve a problem. --- The number one known fact about sales is people buy from people. So if you are not good at the sale is because there is an area of opportunity for you to work on building more of a relationship with the customer instead of trying to make a transaction. Which unfortunately most people that have never done sales before do. Focus on the person and helping the company then the sale happens. Not the other way around.
3. If you have never done sales before it takes time to learn it. It doesnt happen in a week or 2 weeks. If you wanted to learn how to play the piano and have never played it you must practice and actually try to get better instead of quitting when an obstacle occurs.
4. The fact that you say that only a "small percentage " of people make a good living off this job is incorrect. How would you know how much someone would make especially since you were only here for less than 2 weeks.
Thank you for your time here. With your next position i would give you the recommendation to at least give it a month and not let early discouragement win.
Good luck with your future endeavors and we wish you nothing but the best!
