The only consistently positive aspect of my experience was my team. My coworkers were supportive and made the day-to-day work manageable. Unfortunately, even this was affected by management, as any non-work conversations were discouraged and even brief work-related discussions were questioned constantly.

My time at MYP was quite challenging, and my mental health was significantly impacted while I was there. Over time, my confidence declined as a result of the management style. Even minor mistakes were often treated as serious issues, regardless of accountability or willingness to improve. While I’m open to feedback, the frequent public calling-out of errors felt discouraging rather than constructive. Growth within the company seemed to favour those who aligned closely with management rather than those who actually performed well. I joined MYP with expectations of strong leadership, professional growth, and a supportive environment, but this is not what I experienced. Management also struggled with time management, despite being in roles where responsiveness was critical. In addition, communication with staff was often condescending or dismissive, which made it difficult to ask questions or raise concerns. There was a high level of micromanagement and yet no support. I did not feel comfortable raising these concerns as management itself was the issue. Leaving the company was the right decision for my wellbeing, and unless something changes, I would caution you if you are considering a role at MYP.
