Vantaggi
Administrative staff - Remote and Hybrid options.
Professional staff (nurses specifically) - decent pay.
Payroll - you will receive your pay accurately and on time.
Most of the employees are nice and are just trying to make it.
Svantaggi
Benefits - expensive and don't cover the 10 essential benefits listed in the Affordable Care Act of 2013. There is no sick-paid leave; one must use their PTO if ever an emergency or sickness arises. PTO accumulates very slowly during your first year with the company and they don't give employees who reach a full year of service a two-week vacation like most companies.
Human Resources - this department is supposed to be a place where employees can go to have their questions answered regarding policy and state/federal labor laws. The HR team isn't able to provide this information to employees and most inquiries go unanswered for long periods. You have no advocate in this department. *If you choose to take employment with this company, I encourage you to learn the policies and labor laws well for your protection. In addition, there is a lack of standard operating procedures, job aids, and current policies available for employees to refer to for guidance. There are some policies available but they haven't been updated for two years or more.
Work Ethic - is questionable at best. The management team often undermines the staff and makes it difficult for sustained progress to be effective.
The lack of professionalism of upper management - the leadership team often leads with emotion and makes decisions based on how they feel. They often attack the person and not the issue at hand. There is a lack of leadership and conflict management training which is a huge contributing factor to how employees are treated. It's a leading cause of the high turnover rate as well.
Training - there isn't a structured training program in place for this company. This is both for administrative and clinical staff. The company hires many nurse practitioners and they receive better training than regular staff. You MUST be a self-starter and a very quick learner or you will be at risk of termination before you can even catch your breath.
Travel pay - for those employees required to travel, this company does not pay the current rate per mile. As of 01/01/2025, the current rate per mile for Louisiana employees using their vehicle for travel is .70 cents. This company pays .29 cents per mile.
I understand that desperate times cause desperate measures, so if you must choose this company, please be prepared to be your own best advocate if things go south. I wish you all the best of luck in your job search.
Nepotism/Favoritism runs rampant. There are plenty of people sitting in leadership position simply because of who they know and not what they know.
