Liked what I was doing, felt that I was making a difference in healthcare, enjoyed some of the members of my team and overall the company had events to try to engage employees.

2019 was a strange year for Medicus, the talk of the office was how disconnected people were and attempting to find a new way to get back 'on track' (which I can appreciate from a business stand point). I would receive emails from our CEO asking to rank and/or explain the current situation we were in. These surveys were focused around if I had managers who were mistreating employees and if overall meritocracy was being achieved. Unfortunately, in most cases it was not. They are still in the process of re-structuring their org chart and cutting off some of the toxic employees they still currently have, but as a 'boots on the ground' employee- they are far from close to being done. I think the C-Suite at Medicus is strong minded and has a strong potential sense of leadership- but there are FAR too many cases of leaders under them who are still so off base from hitting the mark. At the end of the day, this company was not for me- I was tied to my desk from 9-5 with very little flexibility or trust to be an adult, which is unfortunate. When deals went wrong or quota was tight the blame game became a constant theme. People were mean, bullies, and seemed to find solutions in putting others down. I watched it day in and day out, month after month. If you read other posts here you will see mentioned 'the club' of individuals that have been there forever and seem to be comfortable in positions that they shouldn't be holding. Trust me, they are not all poor individuals, some are fantastic, but the fact is a vast majority need an evaluation, and it needs to happen soon. You are losing talent and people who care because of the small minded "leaders" you have running the shots. It is so so sad. I would recommend this as a great place to work right after college, get some experience and then encourage you to move on to something better. This is not a place for most (you) to grow, and not always the best environment to be involved in based on the team that you are on.

If this type of behavior is experienced directly or witnessed secondhand, we would urge you to speak to Human Resources immediately or if not comfortable doing so, utilize our HR hotline which is managed through a third party organization ensuring anonymity. As you witnessed with the periodic surveys you received, the Executive Leadership team cares about and consistently seeks to understand how people are feeling and what they think might need to be improved upon and we have taken action based on employee feedback. We believe this is an excellent way to show employees that the Leadership team cares about their opinions. This extends to Glassdoor as well. While we do encourage current employees to take the opportunity to write reviews and we specifically ask that they write honest reviews as another medium to provide continuous, anonymous feedback to our leadership team. This is completely voluntary and helps us to maintain visibility on what is working well and what might need improvement throughout the year in alignment with Glassdoor best practices. Regardless, I appreciate the feedback and I’m sorry that you feel the way you do about this Company.
