Vantaggi

The people who execute the work are the magic makers and want the company to succeed. They are smart, energetic and beyond knowledgable about the podcast space. If you are a white man who will never challenge authority, you'll thrive.

Svantaggi

Upper management does not communicate the actual policies or direction of the company - seems extremely unorganized. They could care less at how many people have left because they do not value their people. The tech would be the saving grace if they actually hired resources to continue the growth. Institutional knowledge is basically gone due to massive departures. Only people left, are people who've been there about a year (besides upper management who refuse to see that their presence is a hinderance to development and success).

Vantaggi

The podcast boom is happening and Megaphone is a clear leader. Attention is paid to culture and there is definitely opportunity to grow and move up as the company evolves. Worth noting, for me, 50-100 person companies has been my sweet spot. Major balance for a startup that’s writing a ton of business. Without the financial concerns of a VC-funded media company, team can focus on building the best product/company for the long haul. Amazing networking opportunities because people in the industry know us and want to connect at industry events, and “working in podcasts” gets a rise out of people you meet outside the business too.

Svantaggi

Some other reviews seem to reflect the reality that the focus has shifted over the past year (to focus on podcast tech, and we’re objectively at the cutting edge). I can totally understand how that’d be frustrating for people on the other side of that pivot. It’s now an ad tech business (that happens to be in podcasts), so on the ad side (can’t speak to dev), people who show up looking to contribute and get noticed will get the most out of the experience.
