OK Money - Recensione dipendente - Server/Waiter presso Merchants Restaurant

Wonderful food, everything is made from scratch for the most part. and you get taught how to make things as you go which is a wonderful environment to be in if you're trying to learn new things. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

The management seemed to be in a constant state of disagreement, and no one ever seemed to be on the same page when it came to a lot of things. I was told I needed to make something multiple different ways by multiple different people because no one was really on the same page. I was also told that I needed to stay on my station while simultaneously being told I need to leave my station to do side work... It was quite confusing.

Honestly, there are not many. I'm thankful that they provided me with a job that helped fund my education, but other than that I am excited I have found something else.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the company of most of my coworkers, I didn't enjoy the management style or the owner's presence in the restaurant. None of the upper level management was receptive to lower level employees ideas. Further, there was a clear distinction between front of house workers and back of house workers, if you can assume what I'm referring to. I was always deeply bothered by this, and I think it speaks tenfold about the nature of the restaurant and the company it's owned by.
