Where do I start? Don't think when you join you're getting into an MNC. This is basically a re-branded Band - complete with local contract, no HR and horrible medical benefits. It was always nice to get emails from the DAN network talking about our great benefits - until you realize they have nothing to do with you. This is basically a group of ex-pats who sold out and are waiting for their earn-out. It's very cliquey, with attention going to those who suck up the most. If you just hammer down and pump out good work, then good luck, you'll never be recognised until you resign and get a note, "Thanks for all your hard work". Forget about bonuses, raises or moving up the ladder here. That is of course unless you are great at ingratiating yourself to a group of foreigners. They are big on 'UNO culture', but that comes from the top and unfortunately it's mostly lip service. If you have no other options and want to help a group of old ex-pat men earn their buy out from Dentsu, then, by all means, jump on board. Otherwise, you're probably best served by not being one of the rats that will have to flee the ship once Dentsu decides to 'reorganise'.
