- General office perks, as everyone else has mentioned, cold brew, snacks, beer, etc. - Some genuinely amazing coworkers who became actual friends.

- While the free stuff was nice at first, it quickly became apparent the "fun, cool, laid back" environment was used as a distraction or a facade. - This may have only been my experience, but the micromanagement was out of control. Daily check-ins became more negative and distracting than they were helpful. I felt like there was no real trust there. - There was no real HR department, which is controversial enough, but especially considering the head of what should have been HR was the direct manager to several employees - what if one of their direct employees had an issue with/about said manager, who was there to go to? Genuinely no one. - Pretty financially unstable, considering the amount they'd spend on lunches, happy hours, and activities, while also being forced to make two mass layoffs within 1.5 years. - As mentioned by others, the unlimited PTO wasn't really unlimited, at least not for all employees. Again, I believe this is used as an alluring perk, but it is not truly an equal opportunity for everyone there. - As an ex-employee laid off during the pandemic, I think the situation was handled terribly. In my opinion, they made employees feel safe and like they had things under control in an effort to not lose any employees, this was directly before senior management called a last minute meeting, where they announced company layoffs, no questions asked. I understand it was a hard situation but as a company that projects themselves as being completely transparent, I (as well as plenty of other colleagues) felt duped by the way the whole thing was handled. Not only that, the aftermath was ugly as well. I got a 30 second phone call from my manager, and never heard from anyone there ever again - this was a company I had spent a couple years working for, that prides themselves on their family-like culture. I was also told they would provide references and help for me, but again, I never heard from any of them ever again. Perhaps this is the norm in the professional world, but I felt tricked and honestly, betrayed.

Vantaggi

Flex time off and flex hours, given that people work in different time zones. Remote company. Mid-level personnel are pleasant to work with. Compensation was at market rates even if they couldn't afford it.

Svantaggi

Too many meetings of people talking just to hear their own voice. The company is performing very poorly - they don't spend strategically to make up for the lack of revenue. Culture is very awkward because there's no structure. Change is slow and often too little too late (they did not keep up with the real estate market tanking). Turnover is extremely high with people leaving on their own or management hiring and RIFing so quickly because they're confused on what positions they need in order to succeed. Leadership refuses to believe what you say and belittles you for bringing concerns up if, even if you're the one closest to the data so it's easy to shut down and stop trying.
