Senior management is too busy playing politics. There is lack of transparency, and accountability. Loyalty is a punishment in OMD. Also, there is clear favoritism in the system. Increments never happen on time, and is all dependent on global finance decisions. Senior management always brags about success year on year, but the rewards never translate back to the working team as the rewards seem to only be with the senior management. People are overworked, and even if clients pay for 100% for one person's headcount, management will force that person to work on other accounts as well and pitches in most cases. There are only handful of people in the management who genuinely look after the team. Even some directors who genuinely care for their staff can't do anything because all of their hands are tied. Some of them are then forced to make promises that are never kept. If one expresses to the senior management the negative sentiments and lack of motivation of the junior teams, instead of thinking of solutions, they are taken negatively. Some of the global team do not know how to work well with their regional / local teams and are full of arrogance--it's always their way or the highway. Despite blatant inability of a lot of key members of senior management, they get away with it and they even get promoted further.
