Following the acquisition of Pantone by Danaher Corporation (and its transition to Veralto Corporation), the culture and direction of the company changed significantly. Pantone has historically been a creative, design-driven organization, and many felt that the new corporate structure did not fully align with that identity.
There was a noticeable shift toward financial performance metrics, sometimes at the expense of employee morale and product quality. Several leadership roles were filled by individuals without prior experience in the industry, and some mid-level managers were assigned to oversee functions they had not previously worked in. This created challenges in decision making and team support.
Additionally, long-tenured employees were laid off with no notice, which contributed to concerns about job security and loyalty within the organization.
