1. New technical center with many talented enthusiastic new hires who are eager to learn. 2. Interesting projects. 3. Very beautiful state of the art technical center. 4. Nice location. 5. Friendly helpful management.

1. No retirement plan in P&G Singapore. It's very different policy than other countries. 2. Bad medical insurance, particularly if you are foreigner. For example, the maternity benefit pays only about 25% of child delivery costs in Singapore. Many employees are forced to send their wives to their counties of origin (China, Sri Lanka, India, Italy etc.) during that time just because they cannot afford having the baby in Singapore. Medical insurance is below par. NUS, ASTAR, Indian software companies operating in Singapore have far better coverages. For example, many companies have cashless system while visiting doctors. 3. Flex comp part of medical benefit is for visiting general practitioners, emergency and specialist visits (that is, everything excluding hospitalization). This is only about $2700 which can hardly cover much if you are married and have kids. 4. No housing or travelling allowances for local hires. 5. Overall Human Resources has done a pathetic job while setting compensation and benefits which is responsible for high turn over rate.

I mentioned time because many people are stretched and overworked. Work life balance is pretty bad and shows no signs of improvement. A lot of this can be attributed to near useless management. Every project is treated as absolute maximum priority but can still be dropped at a moment's notice. Work processes are horribly cumbersome and slow. Even small changes require many approvals but there are endless demands to "move faster".
