Vantaggi
-They train you in every position, which makes the training period longer but pays off in the end. You have a lot of flexibility in what positions you can work, whether FOH or BOH -LOTS of opportunity for growth: Employees who are reliable in every position are very valuable to management. You can become a Certified Trainer, a "Bird Specialist" (people who specialize in preparing and frying chicken and kitchen duties), an early morning maintenance crew member, get paid extra for working late nights, and become an NRO or new restaurant opener. By getting these extra certifications, it would make becoming a manager very easy -Interview was quick and easy, personally, management was always pretty friendly (though that depends on the individual store) -Very busy, I learned to take pride in my work and learned that I enjoy being in a kitchen environment and making food well. Actually pretty fun, rewarding job
Svantaggi
-REALLY frequent changes in management. Raising Cane's is always focusing on constant growth, but that means new managers are always coming and going. That made scheduling very inconsistent, and bringing up concerns was difficult. There's a pretty high turnover rate for regular employees as well, just because the environment is high-stress -Although you have flexibility in what positions you work in, that also means you'll frequently be forced to work in positions you don't like. For example, I would be scheduled on the app for kitchen duties, but when I would show up I'd be asked to cover a break for an outside order taker. That "10-minute break" would often end up with me being stuck out there for hours, and stuff like this happened pretty regularly. -Short-staffed: This is a problem in MANY workplaces, but still stressful. Management would frequently try to pressure you into working more hours, or at least some would. And like I said, it was difficult for me to request fewer hours since management was constantly changing. I was a full-time student and I couldn't really get less than 25 hours a week. -At certain points, we would be expected to push through about 100+ cars an hour in our drive-through AND deal with all of our orders up front. I understand that this is fast food but I mean Jesus Christ, that stuff was stressful haha -Not really Raising Cane's fault, but damn customers can be rude sometimes
