As mentioned by other posters. Micromanagement is a key skill they look for in management. That and a willingness to lie about the staff who give the most to a given store. Management push sales not to further the mission of the company, but to pad the MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR salary shared by only 5 upper managers, one doesn't even live in this state. They rely on homemade computer programs that, even after 20yrs, is so full of bugs and glitches I'm amazed it works at all. Don't bother suggestions a fix. The CEO won't understand what you're talking about and nothing will be fixed. For example, they list a $2 coin as being a form of US currency. I've pointed out that there is no $2 coin 2x and nothing changes. They don't even follow their own mission statement. They find cute mottos to use, "finding value in eveyone and everything" but only if you fit in, kiss a@$ and are unable to think for yourself. While promoting good will to all and BLM, there isn't a single member of management who is of color or have a disability. Glass ceiling is the norm. Loads of privilege if you're liked, not how much you give to the company. They don't care period
