Reading Plus had launched a very aggressive sales strategy for 2020, and we had very intentionally doubled the size of our Sales Team in the months leading up to March 2020 when COVID-19 drastically changed the EdTech industry. Unfortunately the company did have to rebalance the staffing levels of the Sales team. Delivering this type of news is never easy. We were very transparent in our communication with those impacted employees and are sorry to hear that you felt mistreated in some way. Our CEO truly cares about our team members, and secured severance and extended benefits to help ease that transition away from the company.
The company is in a much better position for success as we all emerge from the pandemic. We have clearly articulated our Company Goals and Initiatives with every team member, and implemented quarterly employee performance check-ins to help keep everyone informed and aligned on our direction.
