Emphasis on work life balance. Ability to set your own hours. Employees are allowed to come and go as they please without hassle. Low bar and low expectations. Management, in general, accepts employees explanations at face value.

Nepotism/Favoritism - Alarmingly large number of married couples or people seeing each other not only within this small company, but even within the same department. There are at least two departments where one employee works directly for his/her spouse. Numerous people have been moved into high level positions regardless of prior job experience or current performance. No Drive or Will To Win - No emphasis on results whatsoever. No sense of urgency in "righting the ship". High level goals are communicated once at the beginning of the year and maybe once again at the midyear point. But performance against those goals is rarely communicated. No accountability whatsoever for missing goals. Simple business decisions take months, if not years to enact. Communication - For a company of only around 100 people, information is not readily shared or available. Inability to Execute - Simple concepts like informing customers when something may affect their service are not grasped here. Department heads with no prior management/leadership experience fail to own their processes and departmental functions, resulting in customer frustration as well as fed up employees in other departments. Toxic Environment - All of the above create an environment that will quickly crush the soul of any employee who is looking to accomplish, grow and achieve.

Our new HR Director is in the process of reviewing our policies and improving communication, both internally and externally. As a family owned business, we value our team members and their daily contributions. Our strategy includes developing new products utilizing the latest technology so Rediker Software continues to be a market leader. While we will always look back at where our company has been, our focus is on the future. Experience is important to us, especially when hiring managers, and we make sure any manager hired has extensive leadership experience. We take pride in work/life balance, but your feedback indicates to me that there could be some improvements. I will discuss with our management team to determine where improvements can be made. The company is great. The people as well are great. Good hours and a family owned company since the beginning. Mr Rediker is a great individual and created a great company. The team at tech support is very knowledgeable and the trainings were great.

As the previous reviewer stated. The favoritism is rampant... As long as your in the president or top associates good favors you will not have any upward mobility at that place. The building is three floors where Tech support (my previous dept) was in the basement... maybe on purpose? The dept felt like we were at the bottom of the structure. If a client complained there would be a write up, if the tickets weren’t closed you’d get a write up... things really were incredibly disorganized and communications between departments was little to non existent... before my departure the company was going big towards “millennial entertainment” which included the addition of a game room as well as purchasing more healthy alternatives... many turn around in the dept as well... I took the job hoping to retire from there but with the amount of people being hired and fired it just turned into another revolving door...

Since you haven’t worked here “for some time”, you may not know that several policies have changed, and we continue to identify areas for continued improvement. The “millennial entertainment” you refer to has been in existence since September 2016 and based on the feedback we’ve received, including some right here on Glassdoor, employees seem to enjoy them! We will continue to look at any activities, events or perks that we feel make Rediker a great place to work for our employees. Additionally, we regularly communicate our vision with our current staff and, as a family owned business, we value our team members and their daily contributions; regardless of which floor they work on or which cubicle they sit in. We do not place people on floors based on their deemed importance. Our building is comprised of three floors and teams are kept together for obvious, work related, reasons. As a small, local company, each employee plays a significant part in helping us achieve our vision. Again, since it has been some time since you’ve worked at Rediker, you may not know that quite a few of our managers are relatively new and come to us with extensive leadership experience in their field of expertise. I do apologize if you encountered a “toxic” manager while you were working here, but we can confidently say that is not the case today. Our strategy includes developing new products utilizing the latest technology so Rediker Software continues to be a market leader. While we will always look back at where our company has been, our focus remains on the future. Thank you again for your remarks and comments.
