Vantaggi
Management is accomodating and understanding.
The job I had is respected and it's not too low for anyone to hop in and do a shift or two in the company. The CEO even took a shift a few times as did the engineers.
They are forgiving on mistakes and look forward to seeing you improve, as long as you tell the supervisor of a mistake they are pretty lenient on their treatment of you. I've made quite a few and am still with the company
Svantaggi
The job is rough. 15 ish hour workdays on shift. Stay overnight in a travel van is rough. It's 3 days at a time and often I find myself getting back home around 2-3 AM after my shifts. The culture on shift is to press through as many fields as possible and to stay efficient as possible, there is some pressure there. The job itself is very isolated, you often will be working in the middle of nowhere and civilization will be far, which if you don't like being around people or are very anti-social it's not a bad gig, however, if you are like me and need to be around people it can take a mental toll.
