I really can't think of any. There is nothing S7 had to offer that you wouldn't be offered by any other company. Some complain in these reviews about the long hours. While it's true, they do warn you of that before you take on the job.

Where do I begin? In reading some of the negative reviews I must say a majority of the negative content is legitimate and things I can relate to from having worked there. A recent review called out some of the positive reviews on here as posted by management. I happen to agree as some of those claims are complete bogus and just an attempt to win over potential employees who are reading the true facts of S7 in the negative reviews COO is a micro manager. He has no technical skills or knowledge and he try to compensate that by micro managing so he can feel important. He is extremely condescending yet he brings nothing to the table and just hides behind the CTO with every major decision yet he's the one the engineers have to report to. That makes no sense but maybe it's just me. As an engineer, I'd never want to work for a company where I have to report to someone I'm easily more knowledgeable than, someone who's just there to email every other day asking everyone to fill out their time sheets, or someone who talks big about security but yet knows nothing about it. The CTO is extremely knowledgeable but set in his own ways. If you have a great idea, it will be turned down automatically because it didn't come from him. Also the CTO lacks management skills and in some ways lacks maturity. Someone mentioned they were fired without notice. That doesn't surprise me as I've seen many let go without warning. Some of those were of the hardest working people who were putting in much of their time and effort outside of 9 to 5. These same people went beyond what was expected with the promise of a year end bonus only to be shown the door. The CEO claimed to me that he never fired or laid anyone off. That is a complete lie as I have found out they had let guys go before during and after my time there. So for any candidate who thinks highly of the year end bonus they boast about in the pitch for you to take the job, be careful. They have no problem getting rid of you with zero compensation for the hours you put in outside of 9 to 5. "Sr engineering is always there to lend an ear". That's comical. Their engineers are typically selfish, purposely refuse to document anything, and will blow you off. My first day I had a few questions on a particular technology which isn't commonly seen in IT environments. Instead of say maybe 2 to 3 minutes to answer a few questions, I was told to watch a 9 hour video and figure it out on my own. Not all but many of the engineers there are just out for themselves and purposely refuse to share knowledge for their own job security. The mind set is I/me, not we/team, kill or be killed. Usually when people are arrogant it's because they are great at what they do. S7 is arrogant yet they have nothing to be arrogant about. They scrape up the bottom of the barrel clients as a previous review indicated. They use outdated cheap technology rather than the better and more proven technology solutions. Their design is 15 years outdated. They don't offer what's required for the big time hedge funds. The way they act you would think they are the highest grossing MSP in the world. Recruiters who I have spoken to mention dislike of their arrogance and have stopped working with them because of the high turnover rate they have there. How they boast about outings and events is comical. I've worked else where have been treated with more in one weekend migration than my entire time at S7. Just like their selection in technology, they go cheap with their outings and events for employees.
