I, honestly, cannot think of many PRO's to working for Schahet Hotels ... aside from the fact I was paid well (despite being micromanaged). The benefits are not that great and the Company uses a reimbursement account for medical benefits. They will pay a good amount of the insurance premium for medical but that is not saying much, honestly.

Where should I start? Well, as my review title states, they "talk" about culture but they sure do NOT "live" it!!! Nothing could be MORE true than that simple statement. They use the acronym R.I.S.E., which means Respect, Integrity, Service and Excitement. The problem is, they do NOT Respect their employees and they have little or no Integrity! The CEO spoke to me in a way I have NEVER been spoken to ... approaching me with such absolute disrespect. He allowed some gossip and lies a member of his Corporate Office staff pedaled to help him form an opinion about something that had never, actually, happened. He told me I communicated poorly and he was not sure what I did in my day-to-day role but this was right on the heels of him telling me I was sending him too many emails and so I needed to do a better job of ensuring the subject of my emails was clear. So, which is it ... either I communicate too well or I don't communicate well enough? You can't have it both ways!!! How can you be Excited (the "E" in R.I.S.E.) to work for this Company when they don't Respect you and they lack any kind of Integrity. Honestly, the CEO really NEEDS to step aside (retire) because he doesn't have much of a grasp of how to do the job he is tasked with! The President/CFO, who carries the company name, is rarely in the office. He spends a good amount of his time pursuing personal interests, which is fine and totally understandable. But he is letting the CEO run things and there is a reason they are having issues getting people hired and then keeping them! The CEO is cheap and tries to micromanage people!!! When a BIG part of the culture is Respect and many of the employees do NOT even Respect the CEO, how is that at all productive? I would NEVER recommend this Company, certainly not unless some things change ... and quickly, too! Turn the Corporate office staff over. All those people do is gossip and spread lies and innuendo and rumors!!! And they aren't particularly good at providing "support" which is why the Corporate office is there in the first place.
