Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations. We work to provide clear, upfront communication around pay and equipment so drivers can make informed decisions, whether someone is newer to the industry or new to our team. Pay and equipment assignments vary based on experience, driving record, home time, location, performance, and equipment availability, and are reviewed throughout the hiring and orientation process. Our goal is to offer consistent miles, dependable home time, and a team that supports drivers on the road. We continue to make improvements across our fleet and operations and value feedback as part of that effort.

Vantaggi

Where you are picking up and delivering too good accounts for the most part I'd say 95% great the other 5% bad so worth it in my opinion, they do follow how you want to run, they don't force going to states you don't want to, they are very big on letting drivers have control of shutting down due to bad weather or being sick without penalizing the driver

Svantaggi

No retirement plan, low wages, no vacation, trucks and trailers in serious need of overhaul, maintenance is a joke, they make you feel like your job is constantly on the line so it creates for most an anxious environment that they seem to thrive on making people feel insecure about their job never knowing when from one day to the next when they could let you go for something ridiculous, you go through the dispatcher for everything so u better be good with that person or your essentially screwed from the getgo and I do mean EVERYTHING goes through the dispatch from pay to vacation to repairs to everything, some of their employees like to sabotage from inside the company as they are disgruntled, trucks set to 65mph.

Thank you for taking the time to share detailed feedback and for your years with our team. We value input that reflects both strengths and concerns. We’re glad you’ve had positive experiences with our freight, customer base, routing flexibility, and the autonomy drivers have when it comes to weather and health-related shutdowns. Respecting driver judgment and prioritizing safety are core to how we operate. Rider Policy: Sharkey does offer a rider policy. After just 90 days, drivers may welcome one approved rider at no additional charge. Riders must be an immediate family member and at least 10 years of age. Additional Benefits: We offer a Longevity Bonus paid annually on each driver’s anniversary. Many drivers choose to use this bonus toward personal time off. Support Beyond Dispatch: Drivers work with a dedicated dispatcher by design, as consistency matters. Drivers also have access to a Driver Liaison, with escalation paths through Operations, our Director of Fleet Operations, our Vice President of Operations, and ultimately ownership if needed. Equipment & Safety Concerns: We encourage all team members to report any safety or equipment concerns immediately. These reports are taken seriously and reviewed through appropriate channels so issues can be addressed responsibly. We recognize that we’re not perfect. Trucking is a demanding industry, and we continue to evaluate equipment, processes, benefits, and retention strategies. Creating an environment where drivers feel supported and respected is critical to long-term success. Sharkey Transportation has been in business since 1971, and that longevity comes with both responsibility and opportunity. We don’t take feedback like this lightly—it helps guide internal conversations and reinforces where we must continue to improve for the people who keep our freight, and our reputation, moving. We appreciate your perspective and your belief that Sharkey can continue to improve. Our goal is to live up to that expectation. — Sharkey Transportation Team
