Vantaggi
Great team that tries to make the most of a bad environment.
Svantaggi
Shipnet is owned by a Venture Capital company called Volaris, As a result Money is the core business. Anything that stands in the way will be sacrificed; employees and customers alike. The sad thing is that this greed is primarily driven by the personal bonuses of key managers. Shipnet management sets 'cloud cuckoo land' targets based on exuberant navel-gazing and a desire to please the owners. (The owners don't have a clue about the nature of the Maritime business). Employees are relentlessly chased to reach - often impossible- targets and are and chastised for for not making the targets. The good thing is that as an employee you can predict when you will get fired. Customers get wooed with silken promises only to be screwed later. Ethics have gone out of the window. The CEO acts like a paranoid Roman emperor and surrounds himself with obedient cronies. Anyone who voices opposition can be assured of either a swift exit, or a work environment that is so bad, that leaving is the only sensible choice. Like any paranoid Roman Emperor, those who leave are treated as traitors and being disloyal. Many employees pray for the day when this autocratic nano-manager will get fired. Unfortunately for the poor staff, the CEO fits right in the culture of the owners, so I am afraid that his future at Shipnet is quite bright.
