Deciding to work for ShootProof was one of the best decisions I've ever made. :) Even after a handful of years of amazing growth, this place is still a startup at heart: tons of employee perks, fun atmosphere, management that remembers to focus on culture and family and work/life balance. Flexible schedules, team outings, amazing holiday parties, catered lunches every week, opportunities for education, and tons more. I have always felt valued, appreciated, and respected here, even as the company has grown (like crazy!) over the past several years. As an employee, I've found there are plenty of opportunities to mature, to take on leadership roles, and even to create jobs where there haven't been any before. Opinions are listened to, ideas are evaluated honestly and fairly, and the entire crew here just lives and breathes working together to make a positive impact, whether it's with building processes, bringing on new hires, or simply working on the work. If you're a go-getter, the type of person who wants to be a part of a team and a family, someone who finds problems and presents solutions, and someone who works hard and enjoys growing, changing, evolving, this is absolutely a place at which you will flourish.

Went from 12 weeks maternity leave to 10. Seems like a small impact to their bottom line when weighed against the lost goodwill of employees.

From the start it was an absolute mess. The old marketing leadership lied during the interview process about headcount and resources. People were quitting every week for a solid 3 months, one of which didn’t even have another job lined up. Then there were two rounds of layoffs. Budgets were completely decimated and there were zero resources. Goals and KPIs would change at the last minute. Leadership changed several times in two years. The C suite was slowly fired, forced out or changed. They are owned by private equity and they tried to merge 5 brands. 1 was shuttered after they couldn’t sell it, 1 was sunsetted and 2 were sold Back to the original owners. I felt like I was on a candid camera show. Not too mention one of the most toxic product marketing managers in the history of tech who was rewarded time after time.

Hello, thank you for your review. We understand that being part of an organization undergoing major change can be challenging. The concerns you raised took place in 2022-2023. Effective this January 2024, the company is under new ownership and new management. With the new leadership team in place, we are working to streamline communications and processes and to support our employees as we work to grow the business.
