Svantaggi
There was a great work culture here when I started, but now it feels like more money is being thrown at lavish events and lukewarm “perks” than being utilized for career growth. The number of times I’ve heard that I need to be actively doing the job I want to be promoted to before I get promoted is absurd— they expect you to take on the responsibilities of both your current role and the role you want, without compensation to match the heavy workload, and even then they can’t or won’t guarantee your well-deserved promotion. There doesn’t seem to be any HR presence, and favoritism is a plague here. If you’re not on the consulting side, you’re viewed as less valuable to the business. I really like most of the people I work with, and generally speaking there’s a good culture here, but the good people and good culture do not balance the scale when there’s also terrible work life balance, an expectation to overwork yourself, tone deaf leadership, and below-market-average pay. They also pride themselves on training good people managers, but they miss the advocacy piece— I’m nearly certain my manager would stop me from getting the role and compensation I deserve if it meant they could progress first.
