Vantaggi

A good job to have while looking for a real job. Job should be treated as “paid unemployment”, and not treated as a job you plan on staying at. Mind- numbing work which gives you time to send other applications to real jobs. I put a 5 for work balance because this seems like the only job where you have the time to find another job. It’s better to get paid something for looking instead of nothing.

Svantaggi

Although management hems and haws about how black and white your pay will be, there is a level of misunderstanding that they will not address which always seems to benefit them. I have recently seen them take as much as $400 back from employees on their next check because payroll messed it up the week before. Another red flag is not only seeing a high turnover rate of estimators and transcriptionists; management has started to turnover quickly as well. Another con would be opportunities. There are none. A “promotion” is less than you make at the entry level position, with a heck of a lot more responsibility.

Vantaggi

Great earning potential, managers don't micro-manage, option to work from home, very decent benefits, and almost everyone I've met, colleague or supervisor, is friendly with a happy, fun vibe.

Svantaggi

I honestly can't think of one. For me, this job is ideal.

Vantaggi

Ability to work from home is a positive. People in IT department were great, friendly, communicative and promptly replied to calls and inquiries.

Svantaggi

Most everything else was well below standard. Company puts transcriptionists on probation for 3 weeks (at very low rate of pay) then ignored requests for review for 2 months. QA department was competely inconsistent in their directions. Recordings were impossible to hear and/or understand. Many interviewers had poor skills and spoke over interviewees making it impossible to understand what was being said. After working for 2 months, I've still not received a single payment for services provided. They're blaming it on the postal service. One last issue that otential contractors need to know about is that even though you're only hired to transcribe audio, you're expected to research for no compensa tion names, addresses and locations. I could go on, but I think the message is clear.
