Flexible working, some really great people

Have to agree with some of the previous reviews, the one's they haven't yet had taken down. Used to be a great place to work before changing locations from the old offices at Birchwood. The peakon surveys are a joke. I have seen bullying and coercion take place as well as bribery, to get people to give high scores. Line managers are always penalised for low scores because there is no option award the company itself a low score even if you're line manager is competent. The top brass then gets up and gives itself a huge pat on the back Money is a joke. They have more than 100 jobs they can't fill because salaries are below market rates despite the fact they deny this is the case through external benchmarking which nobody has ever seen the results of. No bonus for several years. This year we got a thank you payment but it was tied in to the bonus banding structure so the people who get paid the most got the biggest payments, sometimes 20 percent of their base earnings some times more. Most people got 2.5 percent for 'Band E' thanks guys really equitable and fair, another kick in the teeth. Redundancies are regular and they have now started in Technology tuping people en mass to OSPs the technology function seems as though it is being spun off Social responsibility is the latest obsession they beat you round the head with it constantly it's like being in the middle of a leftie fringe group at uni. Not a great place to work if your a man either. There is nothing for the silent majority. Always cost cutting and announcing job losses but always money for 'activism'. Someone remind them there a business who's purpose is to make money, because they seem to have forgotten. HR are a nightmare. Since we came out of lockdown they spend there time spying on where people are at any given time and reporting them to management. If you haven't been in the office during a particular week then they complain to the higher ups about it. Absolutely horrid people. I dealt with a case of bullying where a senior HR business partner who has since left was bullying a member of my technology team. Think about that for a second. There is a big problem with people leaving infact they have drawn up lists of people at risk of leaving. One benefit of this is that there hasn't been a restructure for a while because there's no one left to get rid of The senior leaders helming the business do not listen and they do not care .

I’ve reviewed each of your points and will attempt to address some points below however, as I notice you are a current employee, I would strongly urge you to consider the number of support mechanisms we have internally i.e. our One Voice Employee Forum and your line manager, if not the People team – all of which would, I know, happily sit down with you to address your concerns. Whilst I believe it is only right to address each of the individual points directly with you, I believe it is only right to address some of the inaccuracies raised as part of your review. • At TalkTalk we strongly believe that having a diverse and inclusive culture where everyone can be their true self at work is at the centre of any successful company and we take great pride in the culture we’ve nurtured over the years.
