There are so many. 1. If anyone has NGS experience do not work here. They will not teach you anything more to further your career - the majority of the supervisors do not even know how a sequencer works. you are just a cog in a machine. 2. They do not care about their employees. A super higher up was literally overheard saying they expect high turnover for tech roles. They cut funding for team outings every year. They do NOT do 401k matching even though they can afford to. 3. In NC all mol techs are trained on everything so the tech level is arbitrary. This makes it so there is not a full proof way to determine if someone should be promoted or not. This allows them to withhold promotions and raises. 5. Micromanagement. They are comparing the time someone's clock in on their phone to the time they badge in the door, If someone clocks in but uses the bathroom first they will berate you for "stealing" 5 minutes of time. 6.They have cameras in the lab and will watch the techs like its a straight up surveillance state. 7. They write up people for missing slack messages while they were off the clock, which is a labor law violation.
