      The AA has a lot of genuinely good people across the business who care about what they do and are passionate about improving things. Despite being a well known and long established brand, it’s genuinely refreshing to work in an environment where there is a real focus on challenging ourselves to be better and continuing to evolve in order to remain a key player across multiple industries. Over the couple of years especially, there has felt like a strong emphasis on positive change, collaboration and modernisation across different functions. There are ample opportunities to get involved in projects outside of your immediate role, collaborate with varying stakeholders and contribute ideas and improvements. There is a clear focus on evolving as a business and not becoming complacent because of the strength of the brand. It feels like an organisation that recognises the importance of continuing to adapt, improve and stay relevant within a changing market.

      The pace of change across the business can be significant at times, particularly as different areas continue to evolve and modernise. For some people, the environment may feel less suited to those who prefer a slower moving or more traditional way of working. However, if you enjoy variety, continuous improvement and being part of a business that is actively evolving, it can be a genuinely rewarding environment to work in.

      I joined the AA's content team in 2017 to assist with their digital transformation project and found it to be a supportive, enthusiastic and generally fun environment to work in.

      Shareholders could be tricky to work with but with time, I was able to navigate it all and get stuff done.

      There's a period of real change happening currently, coupled with a well loved brand which makes it an exciting business to be part of if you want to make a difference.
