The underpaid and underappreciated staff are the biggest pros. Everyone has a mutual lack of confidence / respect for upper management so it makes for good after work conversation. Having only one physical office located in Tampa, FL is convenient as all the account managers and executive staff (for the entire company) sit right next to each other.

The executive staff consistently belittles their employees. Their is rampant name calling and public humiliation on a daily basis. They have a hire fast, fire fast mentality which creates the revolving door effect. Their are no set standard for performance leaving most recruiters in the dark in regards to job stability. Their is 1 person in charge of all new business develpment only becuase he does not want someone on the team to misconstrue his lies or get one of his stories mixed up. The recruiting floor is separated by how much money is potentially made of each deal rather than by skill sets making recruiter growth next to impossible. The Fountain Group works nationally and never meets candidates because they only have one office and it is located in Tampa, FL. They are extremely Micro Managed, to the extent that you need to tell the directors assistant when you are going to the bathroom. Overall, This company portrays a top down dog eat dog environment which creates a hostile work environment wth constant turnover. They have given too much power to one man and are eventually going to have to deal with the consequences.

Since joining, I’ve seen major improvements with LinkedIn Recruiter, Morgan AI, and other sourcing tools that have made productivity noticeably better. The company embraces new technology quickly, which makes day-to-day recruiting more efficient. Fast-paced, high-energy environment. Great place for recruiters who are motivated, competitive, and enjoy a performance-driven culture. Clear goals and expectations help keep you focused. Collaboration and communication have improved. Team alignment has gotten stronger, and new platforms/processes have made it easier to share updates, support each other, and stay coordinated. Opportunities to own challenging roles. You get exposure to high-profile clients and niche positions, which helps you grow quickly as a recruiter and strengthen your technical understanding of pharma, biotech, and medical device industries. Supportive of work–life balance routines. Leadership respects boundaries, and I’ve been able to balance work with family responsibilities without feeling judged.

Limited paid holidays and PTO for newer employees. The current structure requires waiting several years to earn additional holidays, which can feel long compared to industry standards. Expanding PTO or creating a tiered holiday system for employees with 2+ years would make a big difference in morale and retention. Career path visibility could be clearer. There are opportunities for growth, but the pathways to leadership roles aren’t always well-defined. More communication around advancement criteria would help employees understand how to progress. High-volume workload at times. The fast pace is great for learning, but the workload can feel heavy during peak seasons. This is the nature of agency recruiting, but additional support or clearer prioritization could help. Some processes still rely on manual steps. While the company is adopting new tools quickly, there are still a few internal workflows that could be streamlined or automated further.
