My experience: Unfortunately I have been at the company for almost a year. Sending applications twice a day! This company has been such a horrible experience. Turn over is horrible one to two people per month. What you do: You are expected to hit targeted sales, which is understandable they have to make money for people to get paid, EXCEPT you! The market that I am in is filled with to much competition from retailers like Floor and Decor to state one. They are known for being cheap, 99% of the time the clients that we get have gone to places like these and question why they should pay premium for a product that looks almost the same, and to be honest IT IS!!! even a blind person can see it!!! How do you make money get paid: Sell the products and you get a certain percentage out of the total sale. You have to hit a certain amount in profit NOt SALES every two weeks in order to get commision. This is very hard because you have to rely on retail clients for sales they beat you down on price or they go somewhere else. Once you have given a discount your commision percentage drops and you get paid less if you happen to hit the profit sales that you need to hit to make commision. In order make money you have to find people like builders, installer, remodelers, to get your business. Which at this point you PERSONALLY have to sell them on a bunch of crap of benefits they get in order to get them to do business with you personally and not someone else. It takes time, I would say 2-4 years to build that relationship. It is very hard because most installers just want to come in and get out, don't even want to talk to you they are just BEAUTIFUL creatures. If you want to STARVE and and can pay your bills with the crappy PEANUTS they throw at you when you don't hit your Profit every two weeks HAVE AT IT! Stores are over staffed, installers that come in are looking for those who have been working there longer want nothing to do with you. In my market there is not enuff retail clients to keep busy. You can go hours with not one single client and you have 6 people working. OH and most people work upto 60 hours a week. Other: After you have eaten the peanuts they provided, actually PEANUT SHELLS, because corporate has been kind enough to throw you the shells. You have to take out the trash, clean whatever so called break room you have, clean the public restrooms, inventory, tag, merchandise new product, and load your orders. Mop, broom, dust, oh wait, yes you are SALES, "DESIGNER" CLEANING CREW, WAREHOUSE and a modern day slave. Work Culture: There is nothing to be desired about a place like this. You do not wake up in the morning and say "oh I can't wait to go to work". Most employees are miserable, except the ones that have been there longer and do anything to not help you, get frustrated and want you to quit so you do not take their business, whatever is left in this place. There is NO company culture, you are goose that needs to lay the golden eggs or you get chopped. There is no creative input, YOU HAVE no say, OBEY!!!! Management: "Promoted" gooses who have no skills on how to motivate, inspire or lead. When management takes sales away from you.I HAD THE BREAD in my mouth and he literally took it away from me. In conclusion: There are so many things that were left unsaid but YOU GET what I say. If you have a FAMILY, love them, and enjoy spending time with them this is not for you. If you enjoy your SANITY, personal time, and want to have a decent pay without having to wait almost two years if any, then don't do it. I made a mistake, do not work here.

The only con I came across over the years, is candidates lying on their resume's and wasn't willing to be coachable because they thought they knew everything.

The core issue here is a management culture that has completely decayed. It is an "old school" environment in the worst way possible—rigid, out of touch, and fueled by greed. There are blatant double standards where leadership expects total flexibility and "hustle" from staff, but offers zero support or fair treatment in return. The focus is entirely on the bottom line at the expense of employee morale. It feels like the company is stuck in a bygone era, refusing to modernize its approach to work-life balance or fair compensation. Career growth feels stagnant unless you fit into their specific "inner circle."
