Broadly speaking, the people are nice. The company also provides a nice work environment and current technology (hardware and software) to get the job done. Free lunches are a bonus.

HR was completely hands off from the beginning. I felt like I was hired, provided a desk and their job was done. Essentially no orientation was provided aside from a brief tour of the building; basic things like when I would be paid, vacation policies, benefit overview/options were not reviewed or discussed. I asked a lot of questions during the hiring and negotiation process only to discover after starting that a number of important financial-related details were very misrepresented that would have easily led me to decide not to join this company. Put simply, HR is focused on making the company look attractive and not supporting employees. Trackunit touts they are about the people, but in my experience nothing could be farther from the truth. From my first day with the company, objectives for my department were shared that were clearly unattainable and this was supported by my fellow colleagues who actually tried to deliver prior to my hiring. When raising concern about achieving these targets with my immediate leadership, they flatly said they didn't want to hear it and that I/we must find a way to make it happen. I agree, execution is key and to make that happen an organization must provide a culture where employees feel safe. You will not find this at Trackunit. Leadership was terrible. My immediate manager was incredibly disappointing; only ever focused on the numbers and not at all on how I was doing with onboarding or settling into my new role. I'm not a stressful person, and my anxiety was ultra high with such little regard for me as a person on this "team". My leader's boss was also massively devoid of any compassion for how to support everyone on the team, and help them do their best work. Again, it all came down to numbers. There is no team. As part of their hiring process, they request candidates to take a personality assessment of sorts. I question the relevance or purpose of this as it would have highlighted major gaps in leaderships ability to bring a team together. Senior leadership out of Denmark seemed a bit more sensible but I never had any direct contact with them. The company overall seems to be doing well and it's very difficult to see the benefits of that when the other major areas of your job/team are terrible. Overall, Trackunit was by far the worst company I have worked at in my career and this came down to leadership. The attrition I saw in my department and elsewhere during my tenure at least suggests there is concern in this area.

Dear Former-Employee, First of all thank you for sharing this feedback. I am sorry to hear about your experience and can definitely see areas where we need to improve. I will raise this as a concern to the team and hopefully, among other things, improve future onboarding experiences, as we do strive to make it great from Day 1 for all new hires.
