Vantaggi
I think the only good side of working at Transcal is the fact that some of the folks there are nice and talented and it's a good place to stay if you've got no other option, but then any job is good if you don't have any options....
Svantaggi
You won't see your work contract at all - everything is just being "discussed" you'll only be asked to sign some papers if something have happened.. Pay is the lowest possible in the market, just above the NMW - for almost all non-managerial staff there. I've seen a lot of talented people coming and leaving because of this. Usually during your interview the management will use the "it's £XXX for now, but it will rise to XXX amount after three months" bait, as you can imagine this will never happen. Thanks to all this techniques and the fact that 90% of the workforce barely speaks English (so they can't complain - how convenient!) the company itself is making some serious £££ and grows every year and that's a good thing, unfortunately not for the people that are huge part of this success. The only thing that management is interested in is cutting the costs (cannot blame them - but it leads to some exploitations sometimes). No career path, no training.
